Braddock Eagles in grades Pre-K through 5 visit the library weekly for a library lesson or to listen to a great story. Students have the opportunity to check out library books, magazines, or recorded books during class library time. However, our library is an open library so students are welcome to visit the library at their teacher's discretion to exchange library materials. Open checkout is the exception rather than the rule however. Students will check out books during their library special. Please be mindful of the library schedule when sending students to the library to check out materials.
The library schedule also has flexible schedule times that are open for teachers to reserve the library and/or Mrs. Foley for:
- Research - using the library and library resources for class projects. The whole class or small groups are welcome to research this way.
- Instruction - specific research strategies using library resources can be reinforced for whole class or small group instruction.
